CROGHAN – Loren T. Waldron, Jr., 57, of Soft Maple Road, Croghan, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024 at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; his son, Hunter Waldron and his companion, Anna Mullin of New Bremen; a step-daughter, Erica Eaton and her companion, Andrew Peters of Croghan; his parents, Loren Sr. and Shirley Waldron; two sisters, Lisa Reape and her companion, Gregg of North Carolina; Debbie Smithling of New Bremen; a brother; nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his wife, Shannon L. Waldron.
Loren was born on February 22, 1967 in Lowville, NY, a son of Loren T. Waldron Sr. and Shirley McIntyre Waldron. He graduated from Beaver River Central School in 1985. On June 6, 1992, he married Shannon L. Bush at St. James Catholic Church, Carthage. Shannon passed away on January 8, 2021. Loren worked for P & C in Lowville for 30 years before going to work as a bus driver for Beaver River Central School for two years. He then worked for the Croghan Meat Market as a meat cutter for many years. On May 27, 2023, he married Joyce E. Wood at his hunting camp with Justice Tony Aucter officiating.
Loren was a firefighter for Croghan Volunteer Fire Department, serving as past Assistant Chief. He was also a member of Wood Creek Hunting Club. Loren was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing and loved to cook. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be at a date and time to be announced.
