LOWVILLE- Eletha A. Waldron, 93, of Forest Ave., Lowville, died Sunday afternoon, September 26, 2010 at Lewis County General Hospital, Lowville.
A Funeral Mass will be said Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peterís Catholic Church, Lowville with Rev. Christopher Carrara, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Beaches Bridge Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the burial at St. Peterís Catholic Church fellowship hall. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to a charity of oneís choice. Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., Lowville.
Mrs. Waldron is survived by her children, Merlin and Ellen Waldron of Moyock, NC; Loren and Shirley Waldron of Beaver Falls, NY; Ronald Waldron (deceased); Richard James Waldron, who died in infancy; Joan Mattison of Lowville, NY; Kathy and Joe Cottrell of Adelaide, Australia; her sisters and brother, Jean Howcroft of Macedon, NY; Rose Mary Diefendorf of Washington; Earl Burnham of Baldwinsville, NY; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also predeceased by three brothers and a sister.
She was born on August 7, 1917 at home in the Town of Denmark, NY, a daughter of the late William G. and Mary Verna Acker. Her father died when she was young, and she was raised by her step-father, Harold Burnham. On July 24, 1937, she married Orlando ďEzĒ Waldron at St. Maryís Catholic Church, Copenhagen, with Rev. Thomas E. Owen officiating. Mr. Waldron died on January 13, 1988. Mrs. Waldron resided on Forest Avenue in Lowville for over 60 years.
Mrs. Waldron was a communicant of St. Peterís Catholic Church, Lowville.
